This week, Souza received the endorsement of the State of Hawaiʻi Organization of Police Officers (SHOPO). Kanani is proud to stand with our police officers and law enforcement as she seeks re-election for State Representative District 43, Makakilo and Kapolei. Her grandfather, Larry Souza, was a retired police officer with the Honolulu Police Department, and many members of her 'ohana are in law enforcement. Kanani has a tough on crime approach. Kanani's legal background in criminal law provides a strong basis for her to continue to formulate legislation that combats crime and keeps our community safe.
