Souza Receives Endorsement from United Public Workers

Updated: Jun 7

Last week, Souza received an endorsement from UPW Hawai'i, AFSCME Local 646, AFL-CIO, in her re-election campaign for State Representative District 43 Makakilo and Kapolei. She is proud to receive UPW's endorsement, as her grandfather was a union member with UPW when he was a state employee with the Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS). Kanani's grandfather had over three decades of service with the State of Hawai'i and was an active member of UPW. UPW represents nearly 14,000 blue-collar, institutional, and heathcare workers in the public and private sectors. Kanani stands with the hard-working families of Hawai'i and will continue to fight for fair wages, temporary hazard pay (THP), and overall, a reduced cost of living so all of our people in Hawai'i can thrive in their communities. Thank you to State Director Kalani Werner and the entire Political Action Committee for supporting Kanani's re-election campaign and recognizing her unwavering support for our local families.
